| That's right. Starting in two months I will be in law school for three years. I got accepted into a few but after much deliberation have decided to attend Gonzaga law. Yup, that means I'll be moving to Spokane. I know it will be challenging but I also know it's where God wants me and it will so pay off in the end. |

| This may be a cheesy movie to quote from but I just thought this was cool:
Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other? --Evan Almighty
Justice, law, and politics are all things that I have a passion for. Especially with the upcoming elections I've been researching and talking about the political climate of our nation and the world. There is so much corruption going on. Secrets that the media will never say. The Federal Reserve has declared our nation bankrupt, at the mercy of foreign investors. Our economy could fail at any moment. What would you do if the dollar could no longer sustain you? Our nation is slowly letting its sovereignty fall. Nothing is guaranteed. Even prophecies point to destruction of our comfortable life as we know it. I find myself getting lost in the flood of uncertainties, continually faced with fear.
So what now? Do I stand in the middle of war wishing that I could be in a Happily Ever After?
No, for I remember that this earthly realm is not my home. I am part of a higher cause, servant to a victorious King. Therefore I stand in the battle. When all is hopeless I cling to that small glimmer of hope that God has shown me. I will be a part of the remnant when the dust clears. I don't know the solution, but I know that in heaven there is a solution to every earthly problem, and the God of creativity speaks to me. He has placed dreams in my heart. He has set vision before my eyes. I will keep myself educated, prayerful, and ready. A warrior is rising up in my soul, even amidst my sometimes timid self. Still, as I will go forth into the political world, that is only half the battle. Even as I fight to preserve freedom and justice on this earth, those are only temporary amenities. The real battle is that for souls--the only thing that we will be able to take with us when we leave this earth. Our calling is twofold. It's so easy to get caught up in doing what God has called us to do IN this life, that we forget to do what He has called us to do WITH this life. That is, simply to love and disciple souls into God's kingdom.
So let me encourage you as the battle rages on. Know where your heart belongs. The comfortabilities and securities of man will fall, but the kingdom of God will reign forevermore. |
